Why It Matters for Promotion
When a charge or supervisory post opens, there are rarely one or two candidates — there are many BSc and GNM nurses with similar service and similar clinical competence. The decision is made on whatever distinguishes them. A documented qualification in rostering, staffing, NABH nursing standards and quality is the extra thing on an otherwise identical file, and it is what HR can point to when justifying the appointment. It also travels: after five years, a nurse changing hospital is judged on paper by people who have never seen them work.

Who Teaches You
Led by B.V. Kumar, Head of Department (HOD), Hospital Administration — a retired hospital administrator with 35+ years across hospitals in Kerala and the GCC — together with serving and retired nursing superintendents who take the ward management, staffing and nursing quality sessions. Stated plainly: this is not MSc Nursing and not an Indian Nursing Council qualification. It does not change your clinical registration and does not by itself make anyone a Nursing Superintendent. It is an administration and management training for nurses, with two certificates including a UGC-approved university skill certification.
