Rajasthan's private hospital sector is centred on Jaipur — SMS Hospital (one of India's largest government hospitals), Fortis, Manipal, Narayana, Eternal Heart Care (EHCC), Mahatma Gandhi Hospital and Rungta — with Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur, Medipulse), Udaipur (Geetanjali, Pacific) and Kota (Sudha, Maitri) as regional hubs. The state has very few institutions teaching hospital administration as a practical, software-based skill, so hospitals fill administrative roles with general graduates and train on the job. A candidate who arrives already able to work an HMS, run a pre-authorisation and prepare NABH documentation is unusual — and hired accordingly.

Fresher pay in Jaipur's corporate hospitals is typically ₹12,000–₹22,000 per month for front-office, billing and TPA desks, against a low cost of living. Hindi is the front-desk language; the administrative departments work in English and Hindi.

Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana and the Rajasthan Insurance Desk

Rajasthan runs the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana (formerly Chiranjeevi), integrated with PM-JAY and covering a very large share of the state's population, honoured at a wide network of empanelled private hospitals. A large part of inpatient billing in network hospitals runs through scheme pre-authorisation, package rates and claim documentation — administrative work hospitals need trained people for.
