A hospital in Abu Dhabi or Riyadh assessing a nurse in Kochi cannot see how you run a shift. They cannot call the ward and ask. What they can do is read documents. What Every GCC Country Requires
- Health authority licensure — DHA, DOH or MOH (UAE), SCFHS (Saudi Arabia), QCHP (Qatar), MOH (Kuwait), OMSB (Oman), NHRA (Bahrain). Most involve an examination or an assessment of credentials, or both.
- Primary source verification — usually DataFlow, which verifies your qualifications and experience directly with the issuing bodies.

- Valid Indian state nursing council registration, current and renewable from abroad.

Why Kerala Nurses Have an Advantage — and Where It Runs Out
Kerala supplies a large share of India’s emigrating nurses, and Gulf hospital HR desks read Kerala training with recognition. That advantage is real at bedside level. It runs out at the administrative layer, where the pool is smaller and the assessment is sharper — a Gulf hospital appointing a charge nurse wants evidence of administrative capability, and “I was effectively doing the job” does not survive a document review.
