The Honest Answer About Hospital Administration Internship Stipends in Kerala
Most training internships pay little or nothing — and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Here is what stipends actually look like, what Treneywann includes in the fee, and what real full-time roles pay after placement.
Two Different Things People Call "Internship" — Don't Confuse Them
Many students mix these up, then feel misled. The distinction matters more than anything else on this page.
- Embedded in the course; you are a learner, not an employee
- Typically unpaid or token stipend (₹0–₹5,000/month)
- Treneywann's version is included in the course fee — you pay nothing extra for it
- Purpose: real departmental experience before your first job
- A real job with a salary, offer letter and designation
- Starting salary ₹18,000+ per month in Kerala
- This is what placement assurance points to
- Reached faster because the training internship is already on your profile
What to Realistically Expect During a Hospital Administration Internship
- Most Kerala hospitals do not pay a stipend during the training internship — this is the norm, not the exception.
- Some provide a transport allowance of ₹500–₹1,500 per month instead of a stipend.
- NABH-accredited hospitals often have formal internship cells with structured rotations — better learning, still usually unpaid.
- Private super-speciality hospitals in Kochi occasionally offer ₹3,000–₹5,000 per month during training, usually to interns who arrive with HMS skills already in hand.
Rule of thumb: judge an internship by what it teaches and where it leads, not by the stipend. The stipend difference is a few thousand rupees; the salary difference from good training is lifelong.
How Treneywann's Internship Works
The internship is part of the ₹37,000 (6-month) and ₹57,000 (1-year) all-inclusive fee. No internship placement charge, no "hospital tie-up fee", nothing extra.
Students are placed at partner hospitals and rotate through real departments — front office, billing, MRD, insurance — interacting with real patients and workflows under supervision.
The internship is supervised by the placement team guided by Senior Faculty B.V. Kumar (retired hospital administrator, 35+ years across Kerala and the GCC) and runs concurrently with the last month of the course — you finish the course with experience already on your profile.

The GCC Reality — No Unpaid Internships There
Many Treneywann graduates work in GCC hospitals. The stipend question does not exist there in the same form: all GCC hospital administration roles are paid employment from day one — there is no unpaid GCC internship pathway. First-year salaries for hospital administration roles in the GCC are typically equivalent to ₹80,000–₹1,20,000 per month.
The route: complete the course and internship in Kerala, gain 1–2 years of Kerala hospital experience (or move directly where openings permit), then apply for GCC roles with the 1-year PG Diploma — the stronger credential for visa and employer paperwork.
