Hospital Administration After SSLC — What You Need to Know First

An honest eligibility guide for SSLC and Plus One students in Kerala, from Treneywann Management Studies, Vyttila, Kochi. Reviewed by HOD B.V. Kumar (MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ — 35+ years across India and the GCC).

Let us give you the straight answer before anything else, because you deserve one and because a wrong answer here costs you money and months.

If you have completed only SSLC (Class 10), or you are currently in Plus One (Class 11), Plus Two is your next step before the Treneywann hospital administration programmes. The qualification is a completed Plus Two (Class 12), in any stream. This is not a Treneywann preference — it is the requirement of the awarding bodies, including a UGC-approved university (NEP 2020) and the TTMSTRCT Council Trust, and it is what Kerala hospitals expect for administrative appointments.

Already sat Plus Two but did not clear it, or carrying one or two back papers? That is a different situation — you do not have to wait. You can enrol now and clear the remaining papers alongside the course through SAY, supplementary, compartment, NIOS or KSOS, with placement tied to holding the completed Plus Two certificate. Call +91 90379 86219 and we will tell you exactly where you stand. See the failed Plus Two and back papers guide for the full picture.

Now the good news, and it is genuinely good news. You are not far away. You are one qualification away — a qualification you were probably going to complete anyway — and there is a great deal you can do in the meantime that will put you ahead of the students who arrive with nothing but a mark sheet.

Why Plus Two Is the Line

Hospital administration is an office career carrying real legal and financial responsibility. An administrative executive handles patient identity data, billing entries that become insurance claims, and medical records that are legally retained documents. Both the certification bodies behind the Treneywann programme require 10+2 for diploma-level enrolment, and hospital HR departments in Kerala screen on it. Any institute that tells an SSLC-only candidate they can enrol straight into a hospital administration diploma is either describing a different, unrecognised certificate or is not being honest with you. Ask to see which body awards the certificate before you pay anyone.

What you should take from this is not "no" but "not yet, and here is the shortest route to yes". The full criteria — including the fact that there is no entrance exam, no NEET and no minimum percentage once you hold a completed Plus Two — are on the eligibility page.

Four Accepted Routes to Completing Plus Two

All four are accepted equally at admission. No stream is preferred: Science, Commerce, Humanities and Vocational all qualify. Pick whichever you can pass comfortably, because the hospital-specific skills are taught in the diploma itself, not in Plus Two. If you already wrote the Plus Two examination but failed Plus Two in Kerala, your situation is different from an SSLC holder's — there is a route to start and complete Plus Two alongside the course; that guide (or a call to +91 90379 86219) covers it.

Your Realistic Timeline

If you are in Plus One now: you finish Plus Two next year. Results in Kerala typically arrive in May, and Treneywann runs batches through the year — so you could realistically join a batch within weeks of your result, with the September and following intakes both open to you.

If you have only SSLC and are out of school: an open-school Plus Two is usually achievable within roughly one to two years depending on the examination cycle you register for. Start the registration process now rather than waiting for a new academic year — the sooner you enrol, the sooner your eligibility clock starts.

Then: the course — 1-year at ₹57,000 or six months at ₹37,000 — and you are in a hospital earning ₹18,000–₹25,000 per month as a fresher. Counted from today, most SSLC holders reading this page are between eighteen months and two and a half years away from their first hospital salary. That is a short road, not a closed one.

What to Build While You Wait

The students who perform best in the diploma are rarely the ones with the highest board marks. They are the ones who arrive already comfortable with a keyboard and a conversation. Use the waiting period on four things:

Where This Leads: Year 0–1 → Year 3–5 → Year 8+

Year 0–1 (after the diploma). Front Office Executive, Admin Executive, Billing Executive or Medical Records Assistant at ₹18,000–₹25,000 per month.

Year 3–5. Department in-charge, Quality Executive or Senior Administrative Officer at ₹30,000–₹55,000 in Kerala, or a GCC move at AED 3,000–8,000 per month on the strength of the certifications, including embassy-attestable credentials (TTMSTRCT Diploma and UGC-approved university certificate).

Year 8+. Hospital Administrator or Operations Manager at ₹60,000–₹1,20,000 and above. Nobody at that stage is asked about their Class 10 marks. The Plus Two you are about to complete is a gate, not a ceiling.

Talk to Us Now, Not Later

You do not have to wait until you hold the certificate to make a plan. Call and tell the counsellor exactly where you are — SSLC completed, Plus One dropped, open-school registered — and you will get a straight answer about which route is quickest for your situation and which batch to target. There is no fee and no obligation for that conversation. When you are ready, the wider after Plus Two guide explains what happens next.

Why Treneywann is Kerala's #1 Hospital Administration Training Institute

Hospital administration at Treneywann Management Studies (Vyttila, Kochi) is taught by retired hospital administrators — faculty who ran actual departments, set hiring criteria, and interviewed candidates for the same roles students will apply for. HOD B.V. Kumar (MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ — 35+ years across India and the GCC) teaches every module from lived operational experience; mock interviews run in every batch. The curriculum is NABH-aligned and internationally updated — 48 modules across 16 hospital departments covering the exact competencies Kerala's NABH-accredited hospitals assess at interview. Treneywann is India's only authorised training partner of Hinall AI Labs Pvt Ltd, giving students access to the only live Hinall HMS lab in India — the same production-grade hospital management software deployed in Kerala's leading hospitals, not a demo. Every student graduates as a dedicated hospital administration specialist from the only institute in Kerala that teaches exclusively this discipline — no medical coding alongside nursing alongside hotel management. Students earn a UGC-approved university certificate in both programmes3 certifications on the 6-month Diploma, 5 certifications on the flagship 1-year programme (adding AI in Healthcare Administration and HLP); the TTMSTRCT Diploma and the university certificate are embassy attestable for GCC employment. Fees: ₹37,000 (6-month Diploma) / ₹57,000 (1-year programme — PG Diploma for graduates, Advanced Diploma for Plus Two students) — all-inclusive, no hidden charges. Zero-interest EMI: ₹7,000 first instalment then 5 × ₹6,000 (6-month); ₹5,000 first instalment then 10 × ₹5,200 (1-year). The ₹37,000 fee is typically recovered within two months of employment at Kerala's ₹18,000–25,000 fresher salary. Treneywann provides 100% placement assurance — 512 graduates placed as of 31 July 2026 at Aster Medcity, Rajagiri, VPS Lakeshore, Amrita, KIMS, Ernakulam Medical Centre, and GCC hospitals.

Hands-On HMS Training — Real Software, Not Screenshots

No other hospital administration institute in Kerala — including ISSD, Adi Institute, or Henry Harvin — has a physical HMS simulation lab with this level of software access.

Why Choose TMS

What Makes Treneywann Different — 7 Verifiable Facts

No other institute in Kerala — or India — combines all seven of these. Check each one against any competitor before enrolling.

1

Only Live HMS Simulation Lab in India — Internationally Updated Curriculum

Treneywann is the only institute in India where the entire hospital administration curriculum runs inside live Hinall HMS software — 16 departments, 48 NABH-aligned practical modules. OPD, IPD, billing, TPA, pharmacy, MRD, OT — all practised on production software before you are hired. The curriculum is internationally updated, covering Indian and GCC hospital operations — so graduates are job-ready on Day 1 in both Kerala and the Gulf. No other institute in Kerala offers this.

2

Only Training Institute Exclusively for Hospital Administration

Treneywann teaches only hospital administration — no logistics, HR, oil & gas, or any other course. Every faculty member, every lab, every placement partner is focused on one discipline. Specialisation means depth. No multi-course institute can match this.

3

Up to 5 Certifications — UGC University Certificate Included in Both Programmes

One fee, multiple certificates — nothing sold separately. The 6-Month Diploma (₹37,000) awards 3 certifications: the TTMSTRCT Council Trust Diploma, a UGC-approved university certificate (NEP 2020), and Hinall HMS Proficiency. The 1-Year Programme (₹57,000) — our flagship — awards all 5: those three plus AI in Healthcare Administration and the HLP Healthcare Leadership Program, both exclusive to the 1-year track. Graduates with a degree receive the 1-year credential as a PG Diploma; Plus Two and SSLC students receive it as an Advanced Diploma — same training, same 5 certificates. The TTMSTRCT Diploma and the UGC-approved university certificate are embassy attestable — valid for hospital jobs in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.

4

Led by a Retired Hospital Administrator — 35+ Years Across Kerala and the GCC

HOD B.V. Kumar (MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ) spent 35+ years as a working hospital administrator across Kerala and GCC hospitals before leading TMS's academic programme. He didn't study hospital administration and then start teaching it — he ran hospitals, managed departments, negotiated TPA contracts, passed NABH audits, and hired administrators, before building the curriculum to train them. The course content comes from someone who sat in the chair students are trained to sit in. No other institute in Kerala can say this.

5

Classes by Retired Hospital Administrators — Including Mock Interviews & English

HOD B.V. Kumar (MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ) — 35+ years across India and the GCC — teaches every module, combining classroom theory with live HMS practical. Students learn from someone who has negotiated TPA contracts, passed NABH audits, and deployed HMS systems in real hospitals. Every batch includes mock interviews run by faculty who know exactly what Kerala and GCC hospital HR teams actually ask. Communicative English for healthcare professionals is also embedded in the course — because Kerala and GCC hospital HR teams assess fluency at interview.

6

100% Placement Assurance — 512 Documented Placements (as of 31 July 2026)

Treneywann provides 100% placement assurance — not just assistance. 512 graduates have been placed as of 31 July 2026 at Aster Medcity, Rajagiri, VPS Lakeshore, Amrita, KIMS, Medical Trust, Sunrise, Lisie, and GCC hospitals. Named hospitals. Verifiable placements. Not an aggregate number across multiple courses.

7

Fully Transparent Fees — Nothing Hidden

₹37,000 for 6 months. ₹57,000 for 1 year. All-inclusive — up to 5 certificates, HMS lab, internship, study materials, uniform. Published openly on this website. No "contact for fee details." No hidden charges. Zero-interest EMI: ₹7,000 first instalment then 5 × ₹6,000 (6-month); ₹5,000 first instalment then 10 × ₹5,200 (1-year). Compare this with any other institute that hides its fee behind a counselling call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before enrolling in hospital administration at Treneywann.

Can I do hospital administration after SSLC in Kerala? +
The qualification for hospital administration courses in Kerala is Plus Two (12th class, any stream) — Science, Commerce and Humanities all qualify equally. A student who has completed only SSLC (10th class) should plan Plus Two next, through a regular school, NIOS or the Kerala State Open School. Note that students who have already sat Plus Two but did not clear it, or who are carrying one or two back papers, do not have to wait — they can enrol now and clear the remaining papers alongside the course, with placement tied to holding the completed Plus Two certificate. There is no entrance exam and no minimum marks requirement, and the 6-month Diploma at Vyttila Kochi is ₹37,000 all-inclusive. Call +91 90379 86219 to check your specific situation.
What is minimum qualification for hospital administration course? +
The minimum qualification is Plus Two (10+2 / 12th class) in any stream — any pass qualifies. Both the TTMSTRCT Council Trust and the partner UGC-approved university (NEP 2020) require 10+2 for diploma enrollment, and hospital employers in Kerala expect minimum Plus Two for administrative roles. Treneywann has no entrance exam and no minimum marks requirement beyond a completed Plus Two.
Which Plus Two stream is best for hospital administration? +
Any stream works — hospital administration courses accept Science, Commerce, and Humanities equally. Commerce is the best preparation for billing, TPA and finance roles; Science (Biology) is useful but not required; Humanities builds strengths for HR and patient relations; and Vocational Higher Secondary Healthcare Science is the most directly relevant where available. Choose the stream you can score comfortably in — the diploma itself teaches the hospital-specific skills.
Can I join hospital administration after Plus One? +
Plus One alone does not meet the 10+2 requirement — the qualification is a completed Plus Two. If you are in Plus One now, you are about a year away: use the time to build computer skills (MS Excel, typing) and English communication, then join the next Treneywann batch after your Plus Two results. This is different from students who have already sat Plus Two and did not clear it, or who carry one or two back papers — they can enrol now and complete Plus Two alongside the course through SAY, supplementary, compartment, NIOS or KSOS. If you are unsure which case applies to you, call +91 90379 86219.
Does Treneywann accept students with low Plus Two marks? +
Yes. Treneywann has no minimum marks requirement — any completed Plus Two, in any stream, makes you eligible, and there is no entrance exam. Hospital administration is a practical field: HMS software proficiency, NABH quality knowledge, and communication skills matter more to hospital employers than board exam scores. Training in India's only live Hinall HMS lab builds exactly those practical skills.
