Hospital Administration Course in Aluva — 45 Minutes by Metro to the Vyttila Campus
For Aluva, Angamaly, Perumbavoor, Kalady & Chengamanad students · 25 km, one direct metro line · Reviewed by B.V. Kumar, MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ — Head of Department, 35+ years
Aluva is the northern terminal of the Kochi Metro — one train, no change, straight to Vyttila. Treneywann Management Studies, 2nd Floor Creative Tower, Vyttila. 100% Placement Assurance, including Rajagiri Hospital in your own town.
Why Students from Aluva Choose Treneywann at Vyttila
Aluva is the northern gateway to Kochi — the point where the airport road, NH 544, the Aluva–Perumbavoor route and the Kochi Metro all meet. Students from Aluva, Angamaly, Kalady, Chengamanad, Nedumbassery and Perumbavoor pass through it daily. What Aluva does not have is a dedicated hospital administration training institute, and that is the gap Treneywann fills 25 km down the metro line.
There is a second, more specific reason Aluva students enrol with us. Rajagiri Hospital at Aluva is one of Treneywann's primary placement hospitals. Students from Aluva have been placed in a hospital that is a short auto ride from their own house — trained in Kochi, employed at home. That combination is rare, and it is the single most persuasive fact on this page.
Hospital administration itself needs no clinical background. It is the management of registration, OP and IP flow, billing, TPA and insurance, medical records, pharmacy and stores, HR and NABH quality. Eligibility is Plus Two in any stream, or any degree — no entrance exam, no NEET.
How to Reach the Vyttila Campus from Aluva
Aluva has the cleanest long-distance commute of any town in Ernakulam, because it sits at the end of the metro line rather than somewhere along it.
Aluva Station is the northern terminal, so you board an empty train and always get a seat. Direct to Vyttila Station with no interchange, roughly 45 minutes, fare about ₹40–₹60 depending on your Kochi1 card. Campus is a 4-minute walk from the Vyttila exit.
Aluva Private Bus Stand and KSRTC services run down NH 544 through Edapally to Vyttila Hub — roughly 50 minutes off-peak, longer in morning traffic. Fare around ₹35–₹50. Buses terminate inside Vyttila Hub, next door to the campus.
Angamaly, Kalady, Nedumbassery and Perumbavoor students take a bus into Aluva (15–30 minutes) and pick up the metro there. Chengamanad and Parakkadavu students do the same. Aluva is the natural interchange for the whole northern belt.
A word from students who make this trip: the metro is 45 usable minutes, not 45 wasted ones. Aluva students routinely revise HMS module notes on the way in and catch up on reading on the way back. Because you board at the terminal, you sit down for the entire journey — something no road commuter from Aluva can say.
Hospitals Near Aluva Where Treneywann Graduates Work
Aluva students often assume they will have to move to Kochi city to find administrative work. They usually do not. Rajagiri Hospital is in Aluva itself, Little Flower Hospital is at Angamaly, and Aster Medcity at Cheranalloor is a straightforward run down the bypass.
| Hospital | Location | From Aluva | Typical Roles |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rajagiri Hospital | Aluva (Chunangamvely) | In town | Primary TMS placement partner — front office, operations, NABH quality |
| Little Flower Hospital | Angamaly | ~12 km | Front office, TPA, billing |
| Aster Medcity | Cheranalloor | ~15 km | All admin streams — major employer |
| Amrita (AIMS) | Edapally | ~14 km | MRD, insurance desk, OP coordination |
| Government & taluk hospitals | Aluva, Perumbavoor, Angamaly | Local | Records, front office, administrative support |
| Lisie, Medical Trust, KIMS | Ernakulam city | ~18–20 km | Billing, MRD, administration |
Fresher administrative salaries in this belt run ₹18,000–₹25,000 a month, and staying in the Aluva area means no PG rent eating into it.
What the Course Leads To Around Aluva
Aluva's position at the head of the metro line means its graduates get two labour markets at once: the local hospitals of the northern belt and the whole Kochi corporate cluster, reachable without moving house. These are the roles that open up, roughly in the order a fresher meets them.
Patient registration, appointment flow and OP queue control on the hospital system. The commonest first job, and the one where HMS familiarity shows immediately.
Pre-authorisation, claim filing, discharge settlement. Insurance volume at Rajagiri and the Kochi corporates keeps this desk permanently short-handed.
Case-sheet custody, coding fundamentals, retrieval and retention discipline — the department accreditation auditors examine first.
SOP files, internal audits and infection-control documentation. Fewer people can do this than hospitals need, which is reflected in what it pays.
Indent cycles, stock and expiry control, vendor records. Commerce graduates from the Aluva and Kalady colleges take to this quickly.
Nurses and paramedical graduates use the 1-year PG diploma to leave the roster for ward, OT scheduling or operations management.
Two to four years on, the typical progression is into a section head role — OP manager, insurance in-charge, MRD head — which is where the salary band moves meaningfully above the fresher figures quoted above.
How the Six Months Are Structured
Hospital structure, how departments actually interact, and enough medical terminology to hold a conversation with clinical staff. Built for people who have never worked in a hospital.
All 48 Hinall HMS modules across 16 departments, worked at a live terminal rather than watched on a projector. This is the block Aluva students say made the interviews easy.
Supervised hospital exposure plus accreditation documentation practice. Northern-belt students are routed to a hospital on their own side of the district where a slot allows.
Resume construction, mock panels run by retired administrators, and referral into hiring hospitals. 100% Placement Assurance applies from this point until you are working.
Why the Vyttila Campus Is Worth the 45-Minute Metro Ride
Because the thing that gets you hired only exists at Vyttila. Treneywann operates the only live Hinall HMS lab in India — genuine production-grade hospital management software, 48 practical modules across 16 hospital departments. You register patients, raise bills, run TPA pre-authorisations, handle pharmacy indents and close medical records on the same class of system Rajagiri and Aster run every day. Software like that cannot be shipped to a rented classroom in Aluva; you attend in person, at a terminal.
Then there is the network. HOD B.V. Kumar (MHA, MBA, MA, PGDPR, PGDJ) has 35+ years in Indian and GCC hospital administration, and Treneywann's teaching staff are retired hospital administrators — people who used to sit on the hiring side. That 35-year relationship map is exactly why Aluva students end up interviewing at Rajagiri rather than cold-applying to it. Every batch runs mock interviews using the questions Kerala hospital HR panels actually ask.
And the outcome: 100% Placement Assurance — not assistance. 512 graduates placed as of 31 July 2026 at Aster Medcity, Rajagiri, VPS Lakeshore, Amrita, KIMS, Medical Trust, Sunrise, Lisie and GCC hospitals. See the placement record.
Course Options & Fees for Aluva Students

|---|---|---|
| Diploma in Hospital Administration | 6 months | ₹37,000 |
| PG Diploma in Hospital Administration | 1 year | ₹57,000 |

All-inclusive means all-inclusive: HMS lab access, study materials, internship, uniform, and every certification of your plan — 3 on the 6-month diploma (TTMSTRCT, the UGC-approved university credential and Hinall HMS Proficiency) or 5 on the 1-year PG diploma (adding AI in Healthcare and HLP). The TTMSTRCT Diploma and UGC-approved university certificate are embassy attestable, which matters for the many Aluva families with Gulf connections. Eligibility: Plus Two in any stream, or any degree.
At Kerala's ₹18,000–₹25,000 fresher salary the 6-month fee is typically recovered within two months of employment. Next batch: 14 September 2026 — special batch, limited seats. Next regular batch: 14 October 2026. More detail: fees · eligibility · syllabus.
Students from Aluva in Our Batches
Aluva has sent us students consistently, and the northern belt — Angamaly, Kalady, Perumbavoor, Chengamanad, Nedumbassery — arrives through it. A typical batch includes degree holders from colleges around Aluva and Kalady, nursing and paramedical graduates stepping off the clinical roster, commerce graduates drawn to the billing and insurance side, and returnees from the Gulf who want a formal qualification to convert hospital experience into an administrative role.
Because they all board the same train at the same terminal, the Aluva group is the most visible travel cluster in any batch. They keep seats for each other, quiz each other on module notes, and once placed, they tell the batch behind them which hospital is hiring. Several of our Rajagiri placements came through exactly that chain.

Aluva Families, the Airport Road and Gulf Documentation
Aluva sits on the road to Nedumbassery, and few towns in Ernakulam have a denser concentration of households with someone working in the Gulf. A large share of that emigration is into healthcare, and the administrative side of it has changed: GCC hospitals working under JCI and local accreditation regimes now ask for documented qualifications for insurance, records and quality roles, where a decade ago hospital experience alone was enough.
Two of the certifications are embassy attestable — the TTMSTRCT Diploma and the UGC-approved university certificate, both awarded on either plan — which is the practical requirement for an employment visa. Our office takes students through the NORKA and MEA attestation sequence directly, in the order it has to be done, rather than leaving them to discover the sequence at an agent's counter in Kochi.
One boundary stated openly: 100% Placement Assurance applies within Kerala, where our employer relationships are. For Gulf roles we provide documentation support, interview preparation and referrals where they genuinely exist — not a placement guarantee, because we do not run an employer network abroad.
